We are looking for self-motivated, highly skilled Cloud Engineers to be based in Ankara. Candidates must be proficient in English.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to system design and deployment activities for private cloud environments.
• Defining software requirements from system-level requirements
• Provide inputs for architectural and detailed design for software design
• Think in software language to:
• Plan for high availability and scalability of the platforms.
• Operationalize and automate maintenance tasks.
• Defining/performing unit, integration and regression test cases and procedures
• Making all necessary revisions to the software and updating other software products as needed based on the results of tests
• Preparing all necessary documents to be delivered along with the code

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related disciplines,
• Hands on experience on OpenStack and CEPH: planning, scaling and addressing the challenges effectively with a proven track record of:

o   Manage compute,storage and network resources

o   Automate maintenanceand scaling operations

o   Onboarding andoperating software (Java, Python, Go) to cloud

o   Contribute to designfault tolerant and disaster safe architectures

• Experience in open source virtualization (Zen, Libvirt, QEMU, KVM)
• Proficient in containers technology and containers orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift etc.)
• Understanding of Computer Science and Software Engineering concepts such as data structures and algorithms, networking, concurrency, distributed systems, software analysis and design, etc.
• Fluent in at least one programming language and ability to think as code (Python, Go, Java)
• Worked with cloud technologies and deployed/maintained at least one production environment in one of the public cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure etc.)
• Strong understanding of (fault and performance) monitoring systems (Grafana, Prometheus, Alertmanager, Icinga, Loki, Mimir etc.)
• Experience with IaC and related tools (Terraform, Ansible etc.)
• Ability to write code that is clean and understandable
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Disciplined and focused
• Excellent teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree
• Experience in Web services and application programming interfaces (APIs)
• Knowledge of high availability, disaster planning and load balancing
• Familiarity with software build, integration, deployment, release and code analysis tools; Jenkins, Maven, Ant, SonarQube, Cmake, Nexus
• Familiar with DevOps and CI/CD environments and agile methodologies.
• Familiar with software defined networking concepts
• Experience in the defence industry
